Q: How do I join?
A: Anyone with an associate’s degree or its equivalent, as well as students, may become an AAUW member. Join at the local, state, and national levels by joining the branch nearest you. Read about membership benefits here.

In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There are no barriers to full participation in this organization because of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.
Membership Options and Dues
Annual dues for all three levels (National, State, Branch) are payable to the local branch.The term begins July 1.
AAUW National Member: Join at the national level only. Annual dues are $49, payable to AAUW. Join online or call 1-800-326-AAUW for an application.
Student Affiliate: If you are enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution that is not an AAUW College/University Partner, you may join as a student affiliate at the local, state, and national levels. Annual dues for all three levels (the state level is $1.00) are $18 + applicable branch dues, payable to your local branch.
Paid Life Membership: Exempts members from annual national dues, but local state and branch dues must still be paid.
Honorary Life Membership: 50-year members and others honored are exempt from all dues: national, state and branch.
