AAUW’s National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) is a two-and-a-half-day conference that helps students hone leadership skills. AAUW collaborates with NASPA—Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education to present this annual leadership conference, which began in 1985. Over the years Texas colleges and universities have sent many students to the NCCWSL conferences.

A wonderful opportunity awaits Texas young women college students who participate in the National Conference for College Women Leaders (NCCWSL) to be held May 30 – June 1, 2024, at the University of Maryland, College Park. AAUW Texas branch presidents have been notified of the conference and the opportunity for branches to obtain a SHARE grant of $565 (early bird registration fee) per student.
Very important – the deadline to apply for a SHARE grant is March 15, 2024. The early bird registration fee applies through April 14, 2024, after which the fee increases to $685. Registration includes housing and some meals. Transportation and other expenses are costs beyond the registration fee; these are costs that branches and/or others will need to assist the students.
Students who attended NCCWSL last year reported having an inspiring experience, and a similar opportunity promises to await those who attend in 2024.
